The workshop also analysed media coverage of the electoral process including online communication before, during and after 2016 general elections. The workshop also made an assessment of effectiveness of stakeholder interaction during the elections period.
The workshop also further reviewed some post-election reports compiled by various stakeholders such as Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia, Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG), Non-Governmental Organisations Coordinating Council (NGOCC).
The overall performance of the Public Relations department before, during and after elections was also reviewed.
The workshop was based on a participatory action research methodology with the application of the ‘Problem-Solution Tree. The Problem – Solution tree looks at the problems faced during the period under review, the root causes of the problems, their effects and solutions.
